Daily Bread Nashville Concert reviews
Beautiful Voices, Pure and Simple
I anticipated this show all year and it was almost flawless. Daily Bread possesses a voice that I envision hearing beyond the pearly gates. Her sweet and precise tone, along with her perfect range and delivery, was simply impeccable. Supported by an exceptional group of individuals, she received outstanding and captivating music, as well as remarkable vocal assistance and harmonies. I evaluate performance quality based on my enjoyment of unfamiliar music, and every selection was delightful. The lighting design deserves a special mention, with each song having its unique lighting scheme, including starry bare bulbs above the stage, appropriate spotlights on the performers, and various stage elements such as lamps and an old console radio. Unlike most shows that simply flash lights without enhancing the performance, the lighting here amplified both the visual and auditory experience. A minor hiccup during the show stemmed not from the performance itself but from an overly enthusiastic, disruptive fan situated behind me. This was an Allison Krauss concert, not a boy-band performance, and her disruptive behavior, including loud singing and feet stomping, was simply absurd. Despite being asked to behave by nearby attendees and confronting two girls next to me, security unfortunately chose not to remove her.
